Travel & Event Photographer based in Stockholm, Sweden

My interest in photography began when my father taught me the basics with his Pentax Spotmatic in California in the early 1970s. As a teenager, I had access to a darkroom where I could bring my work to life on contact sheets, prints, and slides. Before I was 20, I had hitchhiked through Europe with an Olympus XA in my pocket, and a Canon AE-1 Program and a few lenses in my backpack.

Since then, I have captured images throughout Europe and North America and on tours in Africa, Asia, India, and the Middle East. My event work has taken me to ten different countries. Today I photograph concerts, sports, and live events, and I take travel assignments for destinations and tourism projects.

I work with a variety of digital cameras, but on my own time I play with some faithful analog museum pieces. I enjoy the contrast between shooting a concert or athletic competition at 40 frames per second on one day, then slowing everything down and going fully manual using my 1957 Zeiss Ikon Contaflex IV or one of several other film cameras I have collected over the years. (Yes, I got another XA and run a roll of Velvia through it occasionally, just like I did back in the 80s!)
