Travel & Event Photographer based in Stockholm, Sweden

My interest in photography started when my father taught me the basics using his Pentax Spotmatic in California back in the early 1970’s. As a teenager I had access to a darkroom where I could bring the results of my work to life as contact sheets, prints, and slides. Before I was 20 I had hitchhiked through Europe with an Olympus XA in my pocket and a Canon AE-1 Program and a few lenses in my backpack.

Since then I have captured images while traveling throughout Europe and North America, and on tours in Africa, Asia, India, and the Middle East. My work with events has taken me to ten different countries.

I work with a variety of digital cameras, but on my own time I play with some faithful analog museum pieces. I enjoy the contrast between shooting a concert or athletic competition at 20 frames per second on one day, then slowing everything down and going fully manual for cityscape shots using my 1964 Voigtländer Vitoret F viewfinder, or one of several other film cameras that I have collected over the years. (Yes, I got another XA and I run a roll of Velvia through it every once in a while, just like I did back in the 80s!)

Please contact me directly to inquire about projects. I look forward to helping you realize your vision!
